you know how little boys so often change their minds.

When I became sixteen
I knew a girl, she said she loved me.
I used to think she was the love of my life.
And when she left, I shut my eyes,
I cried, I yearned, I was on fire,
I knew - my heart will burn until I found you.

And when the time was ripe,
the angels laid their hands upon me
I heard the call to find where I belong.
And if you read these words,
I know you'd say I'm too poetic.
You know I only do it for the sake of the song.

The days are passing by,
at times it hurts, at times it tickles,
I learn to live them only once they've gone.
An old man told me once,
be patient and one day you'll see that
there's something there that wasn't there before.
